If only they had told us a few more months ago.
We could have been more prepared and let our colleagues know.
But in fairness to all the staff members,
I am not sure they were clear of what a refurbishment meant to their daily cheer.
Looking to the positive it follows we will have a bright new library,
Not just for us but for all the users and staff.
The spiders will go, the coloured paints will
glow, and the current chaos will be tomorrow’s laugh.
In the meantime, we have found a new home,
A small room in Retford Museum.
The library is now full of painters, decorators and electricians, to do the work as duly planned.
In about four months this work should be complete, and so in June,
We should all move back in.
